What do I need to bring?

BYO your favourite drinks (hello wine in the sun!) and snacks. We also recommend bringing a sunhat, sunblock, a picnic rug or fold-up chair so you’re comfortable while painting. Make sure you bring water or non-alcoholic drinks too – it can get hot outside! We’ll supply all the painting gear, and will lead the two hour painting session with easy step-by-step instructions.

Will you provide easels?

We don't provide easels, because it is much more comfortable to paint on the ground, or with your painting on your knees. It can get breezy, so be sure not to wear clothing with flowing sleeves that can make it's way into the paint!

What happens if it rains?

In the event of the weather not working out for all of us, we’ll reschedule the event for another time, or move the event to one of our partner venues. We will let you know 24 hours prior if we are going ahead or not.

Do I need to know how to paint?

Absolutely not! It's okay if you've never painted anything but your walls – there's no experience necessary and fun is our only requirement. All our events are friendly, judgement-free zones, so you can experiment with art in a fun, safe space.

Is the event R-18?

Paintvine in the Park events are held in public spaces, so there is no age restriction. However, our classes are designed with adults in mind and include guided painting steps that may be challenging for younger children. For this reason, we recommend the experience for ages 8–10 and up. Children attending must be accompanied by an adult, and while younger children are not restricted, they may find it difficult to fully enjoy or participate in the session.
