Matariki marks the beginning of the new year in the Māori lunar calendar, and was first celebrated as an official public holiday in New Zealand on 24 June 2022. This Painting is in the style of Van Gogh, with short brush strokes that mimic movement. Dabbing of white on the mountains, and the lines of colour on the water are what make this painting pop!
