This watercolour painting of a Tui Bird uses a glazing technique, where you will overlay colours to get variation of tones and shades. Unlike acrylic paint, watercolour is transparent, so glazing and overlaying of colours work really well. You will end up with a lovely painting of a Tui perched on a harakeke (flax) branch.
